Martha Stewart is flaunting a bold new hair colour just days after celebrating her 85th birthday.
Stewart has long been known for her classic blonde bob, rarely straying from the look over the years. But over the weekend, with help from celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, she debuted a soft pink hair color, which Appleton called “rose gold.”
Appleton shared a glimpse on Instagram showing Stewart in a white robe with her new curled, pink hair.
Stewart, who turned 85 just a week before her hair transformation, recently called her age “just a number,” saying she said she doesn’t think much about her age either.
“Eighty-five is just a number,” the lifestyle guru told People.
She also credited good genes for her appearance, noting that her mother also looked great later in life.
She also shared a piece of advice for staying healthy at her age, saying she simply maintains it by eating well, avoiding smoking and drinking too much, and exercising daily.
Stewart also opened up about her skincare and beauty routine, saying she keeps things fairly simple. She admitted to using a small amount of filler every few months but said she has never had plastic surgery.
“I use a little bit of fillers. I go maybe once every four months for touch-ups. I have not had any plastic surgery at all,” she declared.
“I don’t think I need it. I do facial exercises and have the best facials from Mario Badescu and Georgia Louise. Peptides are very good. I take a few peptides. So that’s what I do. I’m more [of] a maintenance kind of person. I’m not getting boobs done and hips and butts and stuff like that.”
