A South Florida steakhouse is turning heads with a cheeky way to spice up date night: a nude five-course dining experience.
C.L.A.S.S. Soiree Steakhouse in Hollywood hosts the clothing-optional event on the first Monday each month, drawing attention on social media and around town for its unusual dress code – or lack thereof.
The dinners typically attract about 20 guests, with tickets priced at $250 for men, $150 for women and $300 for couples, Local 10 reports. Guests begin removing their clothing once they enter the restaurant, with private areas available for changing.
When asked by the outlet Monday whether having nude guests could be distracting, chef and owner Maurad Ali pushed back, saying, “I’m the chef and owner; my crew, we are all professionals,” emphasizing that the event is focused on dining and socializing, not anything inappropriate.
The restaurant also has rules in place to keep the event private. Employees must remain fully clothed, and windows are covered so people outside cannot see in, which helped city officials confirm the event is legal, Local 10 News reports.
Ali said he created the nude concept to attract new customers and generate buzz, saying there is demand for the experience.
“It’s more so a gathering – to get to know people, new people in the city, in the lifestyle,” hostess Tashaeba Hart added.
While some guests were eager to dig in, others weren’t ready to take a bite out of the idea.
“Finally a place where I don’t have to plan what to wear,” one person joked on an Instagram post shared by the restaurant and Local 10 News.
Another commenter served up a pun of their own, writing, “I hope the naked dining is ‘Well Done.’”
But some critics had beef with the idea, questioning whether it fit the restaurant’s reputation.
“Bro. Whyyyy? Part of what we loved so much about CLASS was that it was classy,” one commenter wrote.
Another added, “Yea I’ll pass, wouldn’t go there even if it was free….”
