Meta has unveiled three new pairs of smart glasses during its annual conference, Meta Connect, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Company CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduces the VR headset, which includes the first Meta VR Glasses, the camera-free Ray-Ban Mera Audio glasses, and the third generation of its Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
According to the stated price, Meta VR Glasses, which come with a price tag of $1,299, are described as the best of the bunch among the new releases.
The Meta VR Glasses offer virtual reality capabilities in a glasses-style design.
The product will be expected to roll out in spring 2027.
The company says the next-gen eyewear is five times lighter than its Meta Quest 3 headset and features a 5K display for watching shows and 3D content or playing games and working.
For film junkies, the company claims the VR Glasses come with a first-ever IMAX Enhanced-certified VR device, enabling customers to experience IMAX content at home.
Meta also introduced its Ray-Ban Meta Audio smart glasses, priced at a reported $349.
Meta also announced a partnership with Disney+ to provide its users access to movies like The Avengers and Black Panther, while also making efforts to bring streaming giants such as Amazon’s Prime Video, Google’s YouTube, and other streamers to the platform.
