Anna Camp recently reflected on the time she spent on the set of the vampire show True Blood.
For those unaware, the 43-year-old American actress played the role of Sarah Newlin in the fantasy horror drama television series based on The Southern Vampire Mysteries, a series of novels by Charlaine Harris.
According to IMDb, True Blood shows telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse (played by Anna Paquin), who “encounters a strange new supernatural world when she meets the mysterious Bill Compton [Stephen Moyer], a southern Louisiana gentleman and vampire.”
While conversing with PEOPLE magazine at the MPTF’s 2026 NextGen Summer Party in Hollywood on May 31, she opened up about her “magical” experience on True Blood.
Camp admitted to the outlet that she has “heard” rumors about the reboot; however, she is not aware of the “specifics if it’s an actual something that’s going to happen.”
Articulating her thoughts, the Pitch Perfect star quipped, “I do know, like, how cool would it be if there was a True Blood [reboot], a second coming of such an amazing series.”
“Talk about a family, right? That was, like, the most wonderful family to be a part of, the craziest storylines, all of it, but we bonded so much. I only did three seasons of that show, but I’m still connected to all of those actors,” she confessed.
In addition to Paquin and Moyer, the series has an ensemble cast, including Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Chris Bauer, Alexander Skarsgård, Deborah Ann Woll, Rutina Wesley, and others.
It is pertinent to mention that True Blood, which ran for eight seasons from September 2008 to August 2014, was Anna Camp’s first acting job. She joined the series in the sophomore season and reappeared in seasons six and seven.
