Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, currently in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is participating in the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) today.
This event serves as a platform for Pakistan to reaffirm its unwavering commitment to ECO Vision 2025 and the promotion of regional cooperation across various sectors, including trade, transport, connectivity, energy, tourism, and economic growth and productivity.
During the summit, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will articulate Pakistan’s vision for the future endeavors of the organization. Emphasizing regional connectivity and mutual prosperity will be at the forefront of these discussions, marking a strategic direction for ECO.
As part of the diplomatic engagements, the Prime Minister is set to attend a reception hosted in honor of leaders from ECO member countries. This gathering provides an opportunity for constructive dialogues and exchanges.
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar’s itinerary also includes a crucial meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. This bilateral meeting will encompass discussions on enhancing relations between the two nations, regional dynamics, and global issues of mutual interest.
In a culturally enriching leg of his visit, the Prime Minister is expected to travel to the historic city of Samarkand, where he will pay homage to the shrine of Hazrat Imam Bukhari.
