Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi have showcased their prowess with the bat in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.
Babar has the highest strike rate in the death overs (17-20) in PSL 9, recording an impressive 243 after scoring 56 runs during this period.
On the other hand, Shaheen holds the highest batting strike rate against spin in PSL 9, registering a rate of 219.
While Babar’s team, Peshawar Zalmi, has secured a spot in the playoffs, Shaheen’s Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, failed to qualify for the final four of PSL 9.
As the tournament progresses to its crucial stages, Multan Sultans will take on Peshawar Zalmi in the Qualifier 1 match on Thursday at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.
Both teams, having performed well in the league stage, will vie for victory in a thrilling showdown to secure a spot in the final and assert their dominance in this action-packed PSL season.
Multan Sultans were the first team to secure a playoff berth with seven wins in ten league stage matches, followed by the Zalmi franchise, which won six out of their ten games.
